"The Way You Used to Do" is the first single from the upcoming Queens of the Stone Age album Villains. The single was released on June 15, 2017.[3][4]

Rolling Stone described the song as "grisly and jumping".[5]

Background

Following over a year of silence on the band's YouTube account, the band uploaded an ominous video simply titled Queens of the Stone Age featuring shots of the band members (among other things) set to quiet music.[6] The next day the band uploaded a comedic sketch titled Queens of the Stone Age Face the Truth, which featured the band strapped to a polygraph, the song's (and upcoming album's) producer Mark Ronson, as well as a short clip of the song "Feet Don't Fail Me".[7] "The Way You Used to Do" was released the day after.
