The Selection Series is a series of young adult novels written by Kiera Cass.
The series features a rebellious girl named America Singer. America had no intentions on joining the Selection, but after a convincing bribe from her mother America agrees to fill out the form. The Selection is a large contest held to determined the future queen. 35 girls are chosen and compete with each other to try to win Maxon's (the prince) heart. When America's name is supposedly randomly chosen, everything goes down hill. After Aspen breaks up with her, she finds him holding another girl during her departing to the palace. She starts to have a strong disliking for Maxon before she meets him. After spending months at the palace, America slowly falls in love with him. But with Aspen drafted to be a palace guard, America has to choose between Aspen or Maxon. It is a series of 5 books.
