The Pianist is a 1991 film directed by Claude Gagnon. It was based on the novel A Certain Mr. Takahashi by Ann Ireland. The screenplay concerns two sisters, played by (Gail Travers and Macha Grenon), who relate the story of their infatuation with a neighborhood boy, played by (Eiji Okuda), who has gone on to become a celebrated concert pianist.
