The Objectivity of the Sociological and Social-Political Knowledge

The Objectivity of the Sociological and Social-Political Knowledge, known also as [The] "Objectivity" [of Knowledge] in Social Science and Social Policy (German: Die 'Objektivität' sozialwissenschaftlicher und sozialpolitischer Erkenntnis), is a 1904 book written by Maximilian Weber, a German economist and sociologist. The original edition was published in German as an essay in the 1904 issues of the Archiv für Sozialwissenschaft und Sozialforschung, and various translations to English exist.

This discusses the essential concepts of Weber's sociology: "ideal type," "empathic understanding," "imaginary experiment," "value-free analysis," and "objectivity of sociological understanding".
