Filming
Principal photography on the film began on July 25, 2016, in Cincinnati, Ohio, with locations included Springfield Township, and setting of the film in New York City.[5][6] Filming also took place in Finneytown, and Indian Hill.[6][7] Filming was also done at Butler County Jail.[8]
The film's shooting was previously scheduled to take place in New York City, because of its setting there, but it was relocated to Cincinnati. One reason to relocate was Ohio's revised Motion Picture Tax Credit to benefit films' creators.[9] However, filming for some scenes was done in Brooklyn on February 21, 2017, concluding principal photography.[10]
