Imperial Navy (Rengo kantai) is a 1981 Japanese film directed by Shue Matsubayashi. The film is a retelling of the downfall of Japan's Imperial Navy.[1]
Release
Imperial Navy was released theatrically in Japan where it was distributed by Toho on 8 August 1981.[1] The film was the highest grossing domestic production in Japan in 1981.[1]
The film was released in the United States by Toho International on 28 November 1983.[1] It was released to home video by Sony with an English-language dub.[1]
