The Fat Killahz is an American four-piece hip hop collective from Detroit, Michigan,[1] consisting of Fatt Father (real name Shabazz Ford),[2] Bang Belushi (previously known as Shim-E-Bango), MarvWon (real name Marvin O'Neil), and King Gordy (real name Waverly Alford).[3][4]
History
Marv One and Fatt Father formed Fat Killahz in 2001 and enlisted Shim-E-Bango and King Gordy shortly thereafter. The brand new hip hop quartet performed at the local spots of Detroit city, participating in the open mics and battle rap contest shows. They hit the studio and released their 2 Fat, 2 Furious mixtape in 2002, which gained positive reactions throughout Detroit. Same year, Hexmurda of Almighty Dreadnaughtz became a King Gordy's manager and helps him to sign with Web Entertainment, and Marv One won battle rap competition for casting in then-upcoming movie with Eminem. Both rappers starred in 8 Mile, however, Marv's rap battle scene with Em was included only as an extra. In 2003, Gordy dropped his debut album The Entity featured his F.K. groupmates, Bizarre, Obie Trice, and audio production by Eminem on three tracks. The group followed up a successful run supporting Gordy as the opening act on D12's US tour in 2004 with the release of their WFKR 31.3 FKM: FK Radio The Mixtape "The World's Largerst Mixtape". Their debut full-length album Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? was released via No Tyze Entertainment on March 15, 2005, with production from Mr. Porter, B.R. Gunna, DJ Houseshoes among others. The group went on their first hiatus for six years until they came back with their extended play album titled The E.P. released via Morbid Music LLC.[1] Formally, the group is on their second hiatus since 2011.
2011–present
Due to each member of the band being focused on their individual career, however, the group still participates on groupmates' solo projects.
In 2013, fresh off the success of their latest solo efforts, Heavy Is The Head... and FatherHood, Fat Killahz groupmates Marv Won & Fatt Father teamed up as the Twin Towers and recorded several songs.[5] In 2016, Fatts gave an interview to his then-upcoming album Veterans Day, answering a few questions about expecting another group release in the future:[6]

(about F.K.)"I actually don’t know. It would be dope, however, everybody’s occupied with life and individual projects so if time permits, I truly believe that none of us would have a problem with making it happen, but until then we’ll just have to wait and see."
(about Twin Towers)"We just have to finish up a few more songs and hopefully it will be released after we both drop our solo projects that we’re wrapping up." |

In 2016, the other two members of the group, Bang Belushi & King Gordy, also teamed up to drop their collaborative extended play Herojuana. Both rappers announced via Twitter their further upcoming projects, Anakin[7] (by Gordy) and The Adventures Of Bang Belushi (by Belushi), to be released in 2017.
