The biggest design reality TV show in Asia, The Apartment: Rising Stars Edition makes its way to Sony Channel as the channel’s first original series! Premiering Thursday, March 16 at 7.55PM SIN/HKG (6.55PM JKT/BKK), the captivating 10 episode series will draw Sony Channel viewers into the cut-throat world of interior design where 12 up-and-coming designers will compete to become the next style superstar, strutting away with the a grand prize of $100,000. The Apartment: Rising Stars Edition features a formidable and glamorous judging panel, including world-renowned interior designer Laurence-Llewelyn Bowen as the head judge and Jamie Durie, the award-winning hotel and furniture designer, who doubles as series host and judge. U.S television personality and home product designer, Genevieve Gorder also joins the judging panel this season, injecting her nurturing style and genuine enthusiasm for this group of aspiring designers. The Apartment: Rising Stars Edition is presented by Dulux and supported by UMLand and Kohler

Kamille Nassif Model / Design School Student  Thailand Kamille Nassif, 23, is Brazilian and currently works in Bangkok as a model and actress. She is the “silly-goose” of her family, always trying to cheer people up. She has always been around design and creativity; her mother is an Arts and Theater teacher and her father is a retired advertiser.

Although Kamille enrolled into graphic design school, she dropped out to pursue her dreams in Asia. She believes her capacity to plan things well, her attention to detail, being a risk-taker and being a positive person will help her win this season of The Apartment.

Ernest Loh Interior Designer  Malaysia Ernest Loh, 26, with a diploma in interior design, joined a multi-disciplinary design firm over three years ago. Most of his projects revolve around retail and commercial designs and he travels within South East Asia to supervise the construction, finishes and installation on a number of projects. Ernest’s working style is to explore ambitious ideas first and then scale it down to find the right compromise of design and cost.

Ernest decided to pursue his degree in interior architecture and whilst doing so, he won two design awards. Ernest believes the only way to do great work is to love and enjoy what you do. He’s excited about showcasing his designs on the show but ultimately the grand prize further pushes his game and dedication to a new intensity.

Naya Radio DJ / Freelance Designer  Philippines Naya, 32, was born in Manila, Philippines and at the age of three moved to New York with her parents. While holding down a 9-5 job in the corporate world, she found success coordinating nightlife events for some of the music and sports industry’s best known personalities. She is currently residing in BGC, Manila where she brings the same impact on her own radio show as a radio DJ at Manila's top hip hop and R&B radio station.

Her exposure to many different interior styles sparked an interest and passion for Naya in interior design that she never knew she had. She freelances and shows off her talents by designing model townhouses and units to help sell property for close friends and colleagues.

Andres Luer Interior Designer  China Andres Luer, 36, was drawn to design because it allowed him to have a strong impact on the lives of others and his own.

It was 2001, when he got onto a plane, heading to Europe in pursuit of his passion in design. During the course of his 10 years in Italy and Germany, he learnt from the best mentors and all they had to teach. In recent years, he felt the need to impact lives further. He now resides in Asia focusing on tropical and subtropical structure and methods of construction, such as bamboo structures that need to withstand the strongest typhoons.

He hopes being on The Apartment will allow him to spread his message of sustainable design and hopes to bring change to the world of design!

Cara Ditta-In Club Manager / Freelance Designer  Thailand Cara, 32, is a club manager in the biggest nightclub in Bangkok. She is also a model, actress and host.

While her design background is limited, she considers herself very creative. She joined The Apartment because it is not just any ordinary reality show, it’s a show which allows one to transfer her imagination and creativity into something useful.

Khaled Mahallati Design Company Owner  Indonesia Khaled Mahallati, also known as Khaled, 27, is of middle-eastern descent but was born and raised in Denmark. At the age of 19, he had caused so much trouble being the black sheep in the family that his dad decided to buy him a one-way ticket to Bali, Indonesia to start working for a furniture company and to learn to be independent.

After 3 years in the company, he decided to go solo and open an interior design company of his own. With no educational background in the field and just relying on his experience of selling furniture to clients who were always asking for design advice, he realized there was a demand for people getting their vision completed by someone who understands the design world. Today, Khaled has completed over 30 projects around the world, ranging from consultation to full interior design projects.

Aleksandra Flasz Model / Design School Graduate  Vietnam Aleksandra Flasz, 26, is from Poland. For the past four years she has been working around the world as a full time model. She is a fashion design graduate, who loves the arts and expresses herself through painting, drawing and writing. Aleksandra calls herself the “good kind of crazy”, as well as being spontaneous and an emotional person.

Aleksandra loves to meet new people and explore what life has to offer. She is goal oriented and when she truly wants something she never gives up till she gets it.

Winston See Architect  Malaysia Winston, 30, is an architect, and designing has always been his passion. He got into architecture by playing countless hours of the popular PC game, The Sims.

It inspired him to pursue an interest in architecture and interior design and he is keen to see how the spaces which we design can ultimately influence one’s quality of life.

Winston believes with his hardworking attitude and drive in design, he has a great chance of being this season’s winner.

Ally Marrotte Interior Designer  Australia Ally Marrote, 23, is an interior designer whose cup is always half full and has a phobia of cotton balls. As a natural creative, she has explored different facets of design her entire life and found that her strengths particularly shine in interiors and architecture. Growing up in country New South Wales among 3 brothers has taught Ally a thing or two about survival skills and the power of practicality when paired with her imaginative flair. After university, her talent led her to a position at one of Australia’s leading Interior Design firms where her skills developed while working on a wide range of high-end commercial and residential projects.

Ally has recently seized the opportunity to start her own business and has hit the ground running with multiple projects in the works. Ally believes she knows how to be a leader and how to achieve success through focusing her energy and she’s ready to show the world! She is passionate about being an inspiring and influential voice of design and The Apartment will be her launching pad.

Beck Kowalski Real Estate Agent / Stylist  Australia Beck Kowalski, 39, is a real estate agent who thrives on delivering superior service to her vendors and buyers, and aims to always surpass their expectations. On top of her day job, she offers an added service of styling and interior design to her clients.

Beck attended the exclusive Design Centre Enmore where she was trained by Australia’s best interior designers and mentors. Professionally, she went on to become an architectural specifier, and then went on to designing lifts for luxury homes.

Beck intends to win this show by being the best at what she does so her kids can be super proud of their mum.

Ben Woodbury Interior Designer  Australia Ben Woodbury, 25, of western Sydney is an innovative and creative individual who is inspired by people and nature alike. Ben has certainly proven that even in the most barren of circumstances, creativity can blossom. In fact it is obstacles that fuel his fire to pursue his career as a Designer/Stylist.

Becoming a finalist in the ACE Design Awards 2015 was the catalyst for Ben to open his design business - Culminare Design. For Ben, to be on this show means a chance to explore who he is and which path he wants to take in life, and in doing so if Ben inspires someone along this journey then this has truly been worth his while! Ben's wit and Aussie sarcasm & humour will certainly keep viewers on their toes and ensure there is never a dull moment!

Paul Nagaoka Actor / House Flipper  Singapore A seasoned entrepreneur, Paul, 32, spent many years building a real estate investment company (in the USA) from the ground up. At its peak, he had over 30 employees and subs with ownership in over 200 units. Paul has spent much of the last decade using his deep understanding of personal style and relationship building skills to make lasting first impressions and raise millions of dollars for his company.

Paul is currently acting on the #1 prime time drama on the English Channel in Singapore. He also hosts a variety of shows and events. He was nominated as 2016 Asian top fashion model of the year and works as a social media influencer.
