Thai Piranthal Vazhi Pirakkum (The birth of the month of Thai will pave the way for new opportunities)[2] is a 1958 Indian Tamil language drama film, directed and produced by A. K. Velan. The film featured S. S. Rajendran, M. N. Rajam, Prem Nazir, Rajasulochana and V. K. Ramasamy in the lead roles.[1] This was Malayalam actor Prem Nazir's debut film in Tamil language.[3] The film was remade in Telugu as Manchi Manasuku Manchi Rojulu (1958) with Nageswara Rao.[4]

The film became a commercial success.[3] A. K. Velan built Arunachalam studio from the profits earned in this film.[1]
