TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEC) is a global business process outsourcing company headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, United States. Founded by Kenneth D. Tuchman in 1982, the company provides customer strategy, analytics-driven and technology-enabled customer engagement management solutions across various industries.[2] As of early 2017, TeleTech had 48,000 employees, operating in 19 countries, across six continents.[3]
History
The company was founded in 1982 by current chairman and CEO, Ken Tuchman.[4] In 1986, the company moved operations into a small building in Sherman Oaks, California.
By 1995, it had added call centers in other states. In 1996 it completed its IPO.[5] That same year, its global workforce grew by more than 300 percent.[6]
In 2010, TeleTech acquired an 80 percent stake in Peppers & Rogers Group,[7] a customer experience thought leadership and management consulting firm.
In 2011, it acquired the integrated contact solutions business unit of eLoyalty Corporation.[8]
In 2012, TeleTech acquired iKnowtion,[9] a marketing analytics firm, and it acquired Guidon Performance Solutions and its wholly owned subsidiary Synovation Health Collaborative.[10]
In 2013, it acquired Technology Solutions Group, Inc.[11] and Revana Digital (formerly WebMetro),[12] a digital marketing company.
In 2014, TeleTech acquired Sofica, a leading customer management services company based in Bulgaria,[2] and it acquired rogenSi, a global provider of sales and leadership performance training and applied leadership consulting services.[13]
In 2016, it acquired Canada-based customer experience provider Atelka.[14]
In 2017, TeleTech expanded its position in the healthcare industry with the acquisition of Connextions, Inc.[15]
In 2017, TeleTech also announced the release of its Humanify™ Customer Engagement as a Service offering which provides end-to-end customer engagement across and around all touchpoints.[16]

TeleTech and its subsidiaries have been recognized with industry awards and accolades.
In 2015 eLoyalty, a part of TeleTech’s Technology division, was recognized by Cisco as Cloud Contact Center Partner for the Americas for the second consecutive year.[17]
In 2016 TeleTech achieve a leader position in Everest Group's PEAK Matrix™ for Contact Center Outsourcing Service Providers for the second year.[18]
In 2017, TeleTech was positioned as a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Customer Management Contact Center BPO, Worldwide for the seventh consecutive time. TeleTech was also recognized in 2017 with Three 2017 Stevie® Awards for Sales and Customer Service.[19]
Technology
In 2017, TeleTech announced the launch of its Humanify™ Customer Engagement as a Service offering, which aims to simplify every interaction a customer has with a company. Central to the technology platform is a set of omnichannel tools and capabilities that provide high performance and continuity. [20]
Social Responsibility
TeleTech founded the TeleTech Community Foundation in 2007. The foundation is committed to helping students in underserved communities gain access to the tools and support they need to be successful.
The TeleTech Community Foundation has been ranked as one of the top 10 corporate foundations in the state of Colorado for total contributions made to local charities. Grants awarded by the foundation in 2016 impacted 75,000 students across 62 organizations around the globe.[21]
