Team EnVyUs, known as Team Envy (abbrev. nV) or as "The Boys in Blue", is an esports organization based in the United States. It was founded in 2007 as a competitive Call of Duty team. It is currently managed by Mike "Hastr0" Rufail and Tyler Thompson. Trevor "TmarTn" Martin additionally holds equity in the company. Team EnVyUs have teams competing in Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Gears of War, Halo, League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League,[3] and StarCraft II.
Call of Duty
EnVyUs won the MLG Pro League Season 3 in 2014.[4] On July 17, 2016 EnVyUs won the Call of Duty World League Stage 2 Championship, defeated Dream Team in the finals 4-1.[5] Team EnVyUs went on to win CoD XP taking down Splyce 3-1 in the grand final on September 4, 2016.
Counter-Strike
EnVyUs officially entered the Counter-Strike scene on February 2, 2015 after acquiring the French squad of Team LDLC.[6]
EnVyUs finished 3rd-4th at ESL One Katowice 2015 after losing to Ninjas in Pyjamas 0-2 in the semifinals.[7]
On July 21, 2015 EnVyUs sent Richard "shox" Papillon and Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux to Titan, while EnVyUs received former Titan players Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire.[8][9]
EnVyUs finished 2nd at ESL One Cologne 2015 after losing to Fnatic 0-2 in the finals[10] and won DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 after a 2-0 victory over Natus Vincere.[11][12]
Team EnVyUs decided to withdraw from the Counter-Strike tournament at Intel Extreme Masters Season X - San Jose because of flight delays resulting from security concerns following the November 2015 Paris attacks.[13][14]
After placing 11-12th at IEM Katowice 2016,[15] EnVyUs announced Timothée "DEVIL" Démolon from Team LDLC: White, would be replacing Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey, due to communication problems.[16]
SMITE
EnVyUs won the Xbox One tournament at the 2016 Smite World Championship.[17]
Halo
Halo 5
Team EnVyUs' first venture into Halo was officially announced on November 10, 2015. The organization announced the signing of Richie "Heinz" Heinz, Justin "iGotUrPistola" Deese, Bradley "APG" Laws along with the acquisition of Austin "Mikwen" McCleary in a player transaction with Team Liquid. On December 15, EnVy Halo won the first Astro Gaming Spartans $1,000 4v4 online tournament, defeating Winterfox in the finals. On January 13, APG and Heinz left Team EnVyUs to join Team Liquid. They were quickly replaced by Scott "Cloud" Holste and Jacob "Hysteria" Reiser. During the next week, a team change frenzy was sparked by Lethul leaving Evil Geniuses. This led to Mikwen and Pistola recruiting new free agent Tom "OGRE2" Ryan, and quickly rounding out the roster with Jacob "Arkanum" Santos. Cloud and Hysteria would go on to form Triggers Pound. The team would eventually qualify for the HWC NA Regional Finals 2016 as the #6 seed. At the tournament, they would go 0-2 in the group stage, first being defeated by Evil Geniuses and then being upset by Denial eSports. As a result, they would not qualify for Halo World Championship 2016.
Pro League
On August 25, 2016 Team EnVyUs Announced the Addition of Snip3down and Huke to the Roster in Hopes of making a push towards claiming the title of "Best Halo Team" from OpTic Gaming.
Overwatch
Taimou, Chipshajen, Effect, Harryhook, Cocco, Mickie. Recently Team EnVyUs have won Apex season 1 and MLG Vegas 2016. In the last season of Apex (season 3) EnVyUs came forth being knocked out by KongDoo Panthera in the semi finals and Afreecas Freecs Blue in the 3rd place decider.
League of Legends
Entering the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS)
On May 18, after passing Riot's vetting process, Team EnVyUs officially purchased Renegades’ NA LCS spot in a deal reportedly valued in excess of $1 million.[18][19] They officially joined the league under the name of Team Envy. Retaining the core of Renegades, Team Envy's initial roster consisted of top laner Shin "Seraph" Woo-Yeong, mid laner Noh "Ninja" Geon-woo, and support Nickolas "Hakuho" Surgent.[18] On May 23, the arrivals of jungler Kim “Procxin” Se-young from Team Impulse, as well as free agent ADCs Zachary "Nien" Malhas and Benjamin "LOD" DeMunck were announced.[20] The roster was finalised with the addition of substitute mid laner Aleksei “Alex Ich” Ichetovkin in late May.[21] The team was originally meant to be head coached by former Renegades' David "Hermes" Tu, however prior to the start of the summer split he stepped down and was replaced by Team Envy's strategic coach Lee "Miracle" Hyeon-beom.[22][23]

Rocket League
On June 21, 2017 Team EnVyUs marked their arrival into Rocket League eSports with the acquisition of Remco “remkoe” den Boer, Nicolai “Maestro” Bang and David “Deevo” Morrow from Northern Gaming.[24] The acquisition was largely facilitated by Northern Gaming’s believe that moving forwards, a powerhouse organisation would be better suited in providing their players the best environment to continue their growth.[25]
