Tastefully Simple is an American direct selling company featuring foods and gifts.

Products are offered through independent consultants at home tasting parties across the United States, as well as through the Tastefully Simple website. More than 13,000 independent consultants sell Tastefully Simple products across the US, and more than 150 employees work at corporate headquarters.[1] The company is a member of the Direct Selling Association[2] and the Better Business Bureau,[3] and partners with nonprofit organization, Share Our Strength.[4]

History

The company was founded by Jill Blashack Strahan in 1995. It first operated out of a small shed in Minnesota.

On July 8, 2014 the company laid off approximately 25% of its workforce.

Awards

In 2000, Strahan was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year,[5] and in 2001 the company was named an Inc. 500 Fastest-Growing Company.[6] In 2005, the company was inducted into the Inc. 500 Hall of Fame.[7]
