He is an Egyptian Islamist cleric residing in Canada in Ontario's city of Mississauga and head of the Dar al-Arqam institution there. Dr Tariq Abdelhaleem, along with Abu Qatada, Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, and Hani al-Sibai was praised by Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of Al-Qaeda. He was born on 1 September 1948 in the al-Jami' ul-Isma'ili area of Cairo. His father was a former head of Tax cassation (appeals) and a lawyer named Abdul Hafeedh Ahmad from a family of Upper Egypt origins in Qena Governorate called the family of Dr Abdelhaleem. His maternal great grandfather was a native of the Beheira Governorate called Saleem Albishry سليم البشرى, who was a Shaykh al-Islām.[1] His maternal grandfather was Abdul Azeez al Bishri (عبد العزيز البشري),[2] a memorizer of Hadith, and his mother was Zaynab Abdul Azeez Saleem al-Bishri. Tariq is the father of Shareef Abdelhaleem. Al-Bishri was commented on by Muhammad Kurd Ali[3] who described him[4][5] Tariq tweeted that his great grandfather of his father was born in the Qena Governorate in Farshout in 1709 in Upper Egypt, and was an Amazigh Hawaraah tribal Shaikh called (Shaikh al Arab Hamaam) Shaikh Hamaam ibn Yusuf.[6] In 1769 he died.[7] In 1767, his father Yusuf died.[8] His tribe ruled from Aswan to Mena in the Saeed region during the reign of Ali Bey al Kabir.[9] Tariq that said that genealogy is important and recounted that "Mustafa al Mukhtar" (Muhammad)'s genealogy was known by Abu Bakr al-Siddiq.[10] Tariq stressed genealogy and knowledge of one's origins and denounced those who did not know.[11] Dr Tariq cited the example of Muhammad who cited his genealogy as proof that he did not lie.[12] Dr Tariq then said that genealogy shows nobility.[13] Tariq then praised the origins and genealogy of Al-Qaeda leader Zawahiri, as he has a noble Egyptian promenent family.[14] Dr Tariq cited a quote "The ignorant does not known his own station, so how can he know the station of others" by Al-Dhahabi.[15]

Dr Tariq Abdelhaleem posted a video of himself a "message to the Mujahideen of Egypt" in the aftermath of the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi calling for violent jihad, and shedding of blood against Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, cursing Sisi and calling him a Jew, accusing Sisi of being pro-Christian, pro-Coptic and supporting the Coptic Pope.[16]

Dr Tariq declared liberals and secularists as "infidels" and called for them to be killed, in his hopes of accelerate a violent clash between Islamists and secularists and liberals. His work was published by scholar Hani al-Siba'i who is wanted in Egypt.[17] Hani al-Sibai wrote an article defending Tariq Abdelhaleem from criticism.[18] Tariq Abdelhaleem issued a joint statement, which was the first, with Dr Hani al-Siba’i, exposing ISIS, and showing the barbaric behaviour od that group, in 2014.[19]

Tariq gave an interview explaining the role of an Imam in a Mosque to the life of Muslim people.[21] Qaweem wrote an article trying to refute Tariq’s attacks on Al-Tarhuni, who was defending ISIS.[22]

In an article published in the 19th edition of the Turkistan Islamic Party's magazine "Islamic Turkistan" Tariq Abdelhaleem named Buddhists as the enemy in "Turkistan".[23] The Gulf, Jordan, the Levant, and Egypt were named was places of the internal enemy while the Caucasus, Chechnya, Afghanistan, and Turkistan were named as the places of the occupying enemy by Dr Tariq Abdelhaleem.[24]

Muheisini endorsed scholars like Al-Balawi, Eyad Quneibi, Tareq Abdulhalim, Hani al-Siba'i, Yusuf al-Ahmed, Abdulaziz al-Tureifi, Suleiman al-Ulwan, Abu Qatada al-Filistini, and Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi.[25]

Tariq wrote on Sayyid Qutb, praising his Tafseer.[26][27]

Tariq Abdelhaleem tweeted that the punch line of the movie The Purge is the slogan of Trump, saying that the US is the target of international violence due to the Inauguration of Donald Trump, which Dr Tariq views this presidency as a curse on amricans but in favor of Arabs.[28][29] Dr Tariq Abdelhaleem also asked for God to help the destruction of the administration of Trump by Trump, comparing Trump to Hitler and saying that Trump's country will be destroyed by Trump like Germany was destroyed by Hitler.[30][31]

Dr Tariq claimed that there is a "war on Islam" by white Europeans and White Americans.[32] Tariq hoped that the "US empire" would collapse because of Trump.[33] Tariq commented on Putin and Trump.[34]

Dr Tariq tweeted on the Quebec City mosque shooting and blamed "White Terrorism", as it was carried out by white terrosts.[35] He claimed that Muslims were treated the worst in "French Quebec".[36] He referred to Trump as NAN, "New American Nazi"[37] and a "gangster"[38] He then tweeted a complaint of what he described as the killing of Muslims.[39]

Dr Tariq complained that religion was absent from and a nationalist secular state was proclaimed in the Astana conference by Russia in a new constitution.[40] He called it "shame" and said Ahrar was one of the "Astana factions".[41] He called the Geneva and Astana as "treacherous conferences" and claimed there was a Turkish Russian western alliance behind these factions.[42]

Dr Tariq criticized Alloush over the Astana negotiations of the new Constitution with the Russians.[43] He mocked Alloush and said that the final draft of the Constitution would come after small changes were made to the first draft by the opposing side.[44] Tariq accused the Gulf, the West, and Turkey's representatives of committing actions while saying there was a distraction being put in place with Shariah courts by what he called the "Harush Movement".[45] Dr Tariq posted a tweet asking whether Tahrir or Ahrar should be followed.[46] Dr Tariq attacked what he called the "secularist" Prisoner Army and the Army of Surrender.[47] Dr Tariq demanded answer on whether Muhammad Alloush approved the new Syrian Russian Constitution and what the "Harush Movement" had to say about it.[48] Dr Tariq asked about the "Western client brigades" "Prisoner Army" and where the "Al Salul supported "Saluli" "Army of Surrender" was.[49] Tariq called for the destruction of those who wanted a secular state and called them "dogs", accusing them of planning to fight Hayyat alongside the Russians, accusing the "Harush Al-Omar" group of being the "followers of Astana" and "dogs".[50] He attacked the Astana participants who he called "secularists" and claimed that Hayyat was going to be attacked by them, who he called "dogs".[51] He called for the destruction of the "Treason Movement", accusing "Al Salul" sent Majid al-Rashid as an envoy and using the epithets "shoes of America" and "lackeys of Turkey" to describe Majid al-Rashid and Fadil al-Shaykh.[52]

Dr Tariq claimed claimed that the Turks and Russians were going to fight against the "Hayyat" Front according to an agreement with the "Astana factions", which was recently proven right.[53] Dr Tariq attacked participation in the "Astana factions" by jurists and leaders.[54] He recommended Hani Al-Sibai's judgement to the jurists and leaders.[55] He claimed that like how when the roots die, the trunk falls, that Ahrar's leadership would fall as their followers were gathered by Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham.[56] Dr Tariq attacked the refusal to join Hayyat despite blessing it by Abu Omar Taftanaz.[57] Tariq attacked Ahrar over using the symbol of "Islamic Front", saying "what Islamic Front?".[58] Dr Tariq attacked "Taftanaz".[59][60] He attacked their court system.[61][62] Dr Tariq asked about the cooperation between the Syrian government, Turkey, and Russia meeting in Astana to Ahrar.[63] Tariq praised a statement calling for war against Alawites and Zoroastrians by Hashim al Shaikh and denounced negotiations.[64] Dr Tariq complained about Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham being criticized by Barqawi.[65] Dr Tariq claimed that the "Zawahiri group" was as a matter of fact, being targeted by the Arab rulers, the international system, Daish, the Syrian government, and the "Ahrash Movement" in an agreement.[66] Dr Tariq accused Alloush of accumulating photo albums, eating good food, staying at high class hotels while in Geneva.[67] Dr Tariq used the label of "Ghulam boy" for Ahrar and called it a "Imprisoned Movement".[68] Dr Tariq asked what to do when there are two factions of people.[69] Tariq tweeted on the "Zawahiri group" and Daish.[70] Dr Tariq tweeted that the "Mujahideen" against Bashar are the ones guarding the "Ummah".[71]

Dr Tariq used the description "Brotherhood Brigade" for Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen.[72] Tariq said he does not have a disagreement over the basis of the duties and limits of Islam but he has a dispute over their path.[73]

Dr Tariq criticized on a statement on Hayyat by Barqawi.[74]

Dr Tariq attacked Erdogan and accused him of duping people with tears when he works with Israel, allowed American planes in his airbases and allied with Russia and gotten closer with them.[75]

Dr Tariq called Anwar al-Awlaki a "martyr", and he claimed that his 8-year-old daughter Nawar was, as reported in the news, killed by what he called "filthy Crusaders", what Trump called a successful operation!, and called for their destruction.[76]

Dr Tariq mocked Arabs who support democracy saying that the west holds contempt for them and they are humiliated by being deported, searched and banned.[77]

Dr Tariq claimed that the Quebec City mosque shooting was being covered up by the attack at the Louvre which he claimed was staged.[78][79] Dr Tariq then protestd the charges his son received in comparison to the Quebec attacker, when his son got life in prison for terrorism while killer charges were filed against the Quebec attacker.[80][81][82]

Dr Tariq posted an article claiming that the United States of America may break apart like the Soviet Union after Trump was elected.[83] Someone tweeted his article and labelled Dr Tariq as pro-al-Qaeda, a group he has never joined, ofr any other group for that matter, in his entire life.[84] Tariq tweeted in response and denied being pro-al-Qaida.[85][86] Dr Tariq tweeted a statement complaining about being called pro-al-Qaeda by the media and writers.[87]

Dr Tariq posted a tweet defending Abu Jaber against Barqawi.[88]

Dr Tariq tweeted his condolences upon the death of Abu Hani al Masri.[89]

Dr Tariq Abdelhaleem attacked the against the Qadi Najeeb and cited Hani al-Sibai.[90] Tariq cited the war in Afghanistan which Al-Siba'i fought in during his attack on the Ahrar al-Sham Qadi.[91] Tariq cited a biography of Hani al-Siba'i in his attack on the Ahrar al-Sham Qadi.[92] Tariq referred to Ahrar people as "evil" and "fools".[93] Tariq referred to what he called "evil" Ahrar's media people as "dogs".[94]

Dr Tariq posted his previous views on Ahrar and said there were "pure" "good" "soldiers" in the ranks of Ahrar a year and a half ago from February 2017.[95] Dr Tariq attacked what he called the "crusader enemy" and claimed they wre targeting the "Muslims world" in Yemen, Libya, Palestine, and Afghanistan and referring to factions who obeyed their commands while trying to determine the status of Ahrar.[96] He referred to Ahrar leaders like al-Nahhas, Shareefa and Marush.[97] Dr Tariq demanded to know what were the end goals in Syria of Ahrar.[98] Tariq named "Daish", the "Americans-Gulf", and the "Nusayri-Russias" as enemies in Syria.[99] Tariq commented on the how Ahrar was persisting.[100]

Dr Tariq used the labels "allies of Satan" Mufti and guest of Turkey, after he as accused of being Canada's guest by the Ahrar Qadi Najeeb.[101] Dr Tariq referred to them as slaves of Turkey and the Gulf and said that he was free to speak his heart and mind unlike the guests of what he called "tyrannical Arab states" since he was in the west and Canada.[102] Tariq attacked them and defended Hani Al-Siba'i.[103] Tariq claimed that Turkish intelligence was protecting them and that their masters were the Turkes and they crawled on their belly when attacking Najeeb.[104] Dr Tariq accused people of either surrendering fully or becoming unrestrained Takfiris and said this was the problem of the era.[105] Dr Tariq then compared them to Daish.[106] Dr Tariq accused them of planning a civil state and working with the "enemy".[107]

Dr Tariq cited criticism against what he called "Hash Movement" (Ahrar al-Sham) by Al-Siba'i.[108] Hani Al-Siba'i attacked Ahrar al-Sham.[109]

Dr Tariq defended Abu Abdullah al-Shar'i against Barqawi.[110] Tariq used the label of "Khariji" for the idea of Barqawi.[111] Dr Tariq attacked Barqawi and Baghdadi.[112] Dr Tariq claimed that Dawa'ish were being defended by Barqawi.[113] Dr Tariq attacked what he called "Army of Surrender", Harush's Ahrar, Barqaqi, Liwa al Aqsa and Daish.[114] Dr Tariq used the label "astray" when attacking Barqawi.[115] Barqawi was criticized by Dr Tariq.[116][117]
