Tarentola boavistensis (English name: Boa Vista wall gecko or Boa Vista Gecko, sometimes as Tarentola bonavistensis, the Latin name for Boa Vista is Bona Vista, not frequently used in Latin) is a species of geckos in the family Phyllodactylidae. The species is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands and are founded in the island of Boa Vista and also on Sal.[1]
Etymology
The specific name, boavistensis is named after the island where the species was discovered.[1]
