Tanjong Pagar Centre, also known as Guoco Tower,[1] is a S$3.2 billion mixed-use development located in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore.[2] With a height of 290 m (950 ft), it is currently the tallest building in Singapore, breaking the record held jointly by UOB Plaza, One Raffles Place and Republic Plaza for over 20 years.[3]
Completed in 2016, the 64-storey, 1.7 million sq ft skyscraper was developed by GuocoLand and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Although the maximum building height allowed in Singapore is 280 m, permission was granted to the developers to build Tanjong Pagar Centre up to 290 m.[4]
The development won the 2014 World Architecture News Mixed-Use Award in the Future Projects subcategory,[5] and was a finalist for the 2015 World Architecture Festival Commercial Mixed-Use Award in the Future Projects subcategory.[6]
