Plot

The series starts with a marriage backdrop where the groom Siddharth's (Mohit Abrol) bestfriend is Haider Ali Khan (Barun Sobti) and the bride Avantika's (Priya Tandon) bestfriend is Meera Kapoor (Surbhi Jyoti). Haider is a typical Casanova and Meera is a carefree non-judgmental girl and both are shown to be dealing with some kind of pain that is kept under wraps.

Haider and Meera casually flirt during the wedding ceremonies. During one such ceremony Meera's bestfriend Tanya(Neelam Sivia) confronts Meera about not talking about her feelings and suggests her to let things go. Tanya believes that Meera is hiding her pain and vulnerabilities and hence Tanya tells Meera that she can share her pain with her and it's okay to be broken. On hearing this, Meera tells Tanya that she's absolutely fine but she's not and hence she gets drunk. Meera decides to prove to Tanya that she's not broken and hence she's about to have a one night stand with Haider in a drunk state but then Haidar realises that Meera is actually not ready for it and she's really drunk. They mutually decide to accomplish the unfulfilled task and after several attempts they have their first night stand with turns out to be the best night for both of them. Haider tries to find out if Meera felt the same way as he did, but considering the fact the Haider is a Casanova Meera hides her feelings for Haider and says that this was just a casual sex for her. Haider is shocked and hurt and decides to confront Meera the next day. After some denial Meera accepts that the night was very special to her as well. Then they start dating and Haider asks Meera that why is so non-judgmental. Meera tells him that she spent her entire life judging her parents for not loving each other until the day her father died in an attempt to save her mother from an accident, but he was unsuccessful in doing so and she looses both her parents and hence she holds this big guilt of judging her parents and this reminds Haider about the guilt that he has in his heart and when Meera tries to know what is bothering Haider, they end up having an ugly fight initiated by Haider.Meera decides to accept the job offer which she received from New York. She decides to go away from Haider's life. Haider also loves her but is not ready to confess his feelings for her as he has not been able to overcome the grief of his best friend Raza's death even though 2 years have passed

From the day of his best friends death he had avoided raza's mother( Sheeba Chaddha) phone calls. The day when Meera decides to go he goes to Raza's mother's house when Sid forces him. There he talks to her and shares his pain. She tells him to move ahead in his life and get married. There he receives a phone call from Sid that Meera is going. When Meera is about to leave they hear some music from outside. They go out and find Haider dancing to the beats and there they both confess their love for each other.

Next day, on the breakfast table Avantika tells Sid she had a one night stand with Sid's friend Sameer when they broke up. Sid decides to call off their marriage. Haider and Meera clear the couple's misunderstanding and themselves decide to get engaged on the same day.

On the marriage night when Meera gets ready she wears the earrings given to her by Raza which she didn't know. When Haider sees the earrings he realises that Raza was in love with Meera and he blames her for Raza's death. He becomes shattered. He breaks off his engagement with Meera and moves to London.

Meera is left shattered and heartbroken. She repeatedly calls Haider to get her answers but Haider doesn't respond her calls

After a leap of 6 months neither Haider nor Meera have moved on and are still stuck on each other. Meera keeps herself engaged in designing. She receives an offer for a job in New York. While in London, Raza's mother clears Haider's misunderstanding. She tells him that Meera never even knew Raza and only Raza was in love with her and that Haider should stop blaming himself for Raza's death. On the day of her departure she meets her friends. On the way to the airport, she lastly visits Haiders house and finds everything is changed. She goes to the poolside , where Haider and Meera firstly met. She then goes to the garden where Haider surprises her and apologises to her. They hug each other and live together happily
