Tampines West MRT Station (DT31) is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Downtown Line in Tampines, Singapore, located at Tampines Avenue 4, near the junction with Tampines Avenue 1.
The station will bring another transport option to the nearby Temasek Polytechnic, Junyuan Primary School and East View Primary School, and to the residences of the nearby HDB blocks.
The station will open on 21 October 2017, as announced by the Land Transport Authority on 31 May 2017.[1]
History
On 29 January 2012, the signage of Tampines Palmspring was demolished. Construction of the station started in February 2012, with the noise barriers placed. Road realignment has begun in June 2012 and is expected to last until January 2016.
