Taleqan (Persian: طالقان, also Romanized as Ţāleqān)[1] is a city in the capital of Taleqan County, Alborz Province, Iran.
It is located in the Alborz (Elburz) mountain range.
Native people from Taleqan speak Tati language.
At the 2006 census, its population was 3,281, in 988 families.[2]
