Tahnik
Tahnik is an Islamic ceremony of touching the lips of a newborn baby with honey, sweet juice or pressed dates.[1][2] During the times of Muhammad, Muslims would bring their newborn babies to him and he would perform Tahnik upon them.[3][4]
This ceremony is performed by the child's mother or father.[5]
