Tahir Aslam Gora
Tahir Aslam Gora (born 1963) is a Canadian editor, publisher, (English to Urdu) translator, and writer of fiction and non-fiction.[1]
He is recipient of Queen Diamond Jubilee Medal for his services in Canada[2]. He also is the founder of ‘Canadian Thinkers’ Forum’ ‘Progressive Muslims Institute Canada’ and ‘Muslim Committee Against Antisemitism.[3]
His two Novels, three collections of Short stories and two collections of Poems in Urdu have been published. His both Novels ‘Mohlat’ and ‘Rang Mahal[4]’ and one collection of Urdu Poems have been translated and published into Hindi, Russian and Uzbek Languages. He himself happened to be a well known publisher in Pakistan during 1987-1998. He was a Chief Editor of the weekly socio-political magazine “Hafta” in Lahore.
