TISS Hyderabad
TISS Hyderabad[1] was established in 2008. The inaugural stone for TISS Hyderabad was laid by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Late Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy in April 2008. TISS follows the motto of "Re-Imagining Futures"/"भविष्य की पुनर्कल्पना". Currently, TISS Hyderabad operates from two campuses: one in AMR-APARD in Rajendranagar, and the other in Roda Mistry School of Social Work in Gachibowli. A full-fledged campus is under construction in 100 acres of land in the Kothur Mandal of Mahabubnagar district.
Deputy Director Prof. Siva Raju is the academic head of the institute.
Background
TISS Hyderabad came into being with the approval of Academic Council and Governing Board of TISS. The Registrations under Societies Registrations Act and Public Trust Act of the TISS Mumbai are valid for TISS Hyderabad as well. TISS Mumbai provides oversight to matters of admission, instruction, evaluation of TISS Hyderabad and confers TISS degrees.

Admissions
Candidates who are interested in pursuing the course form TISS Hyderabad have to appear for an all India entrance test TISSNET conducted by TISS in the month of January. TISS relaeases notification for this entrance exam in the month of September/October.
Students Activties
- QUINTISSENCE is the annual fest of TISS Hyderabad which includes various cultural,literary and sports events held during the month of December every year.
- Azad-Mann Students' Club is a student led initiative of TISS Hyderabad that was formed as a forum for discussions and debates on various issues. The Club regularly organizes talks, discussions and documentary screenings on topics of social relevance.
News
- TISS Hyderabad withdrew its HRM course for the academic year 2017.
- TISS Hyderabad signed a MoU with Andhra Pradesh Government on Teacher's Day in the year 2015 to implement Students Skill Development Programme in 100 colleges so as to deveolop their employability skills.[2]
