Synova Capital is a private equity firm specialising in investments in UK growth companies.The firm manages £400m of capital on behalf of institutional investors and family offices and invests across four sectors: Technology, Healthcare and Education, Business Services and Financial Services.[1] Synova is focused on working with management teams to accelerate growth and drive exceptional returns.

Synova was founded in 2007 by its managing partners, David Menton and Philip Shapiro. Synova's other partners include Tim Ashlin, Alex Bowden and Daniel Parker.

Synova was awarded 'Young Firm of the Year' at The Private Equity Awards 2014,[2] and 'House of the Year' at the 'British Private Equity Awards' in 2014 and 2016.

Synova exited its investment in Kinapse to Hg Capital on 1 February 2016, generating a 16x return and a 126% IRR. This followed the successful sale of dbg for 6x cost and TLG for 3x cost.

In January 2016, Synova completed raising £250 million in capital for its third fund following the successful investment of its £110 million second fund.
