The Synagogue of the Jewish Community of Barcelona, is a cultural and religious center that was built in the year 1954 to serve the Jewish community that lived then in the city of Barcelona.[1] The three story building is located at the Avenir street, and provides services to the members of the community and also other visitors. The center has two synagogues, one sephardic and the other askenazi. The building also has a library and a conference room.[2]

On 18 January 2015 an event took place in this temple, it was a homage to the victims of the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris,[3] in this event participated members of different religions, also is worthy of mention the presence of the Catalan journalist Pilar Rahola.[4]
