Susan (or Sousan) (Persian: سوسن) (pronounced: Soo'san), born Golandam Taherkhani (Persian: گلاندام طاهرخانی) (April or May 1942 Qasr-e Shirin, Kermanshah, Iran - May 3, 2004 Los Angeles, California, U.S.), was a popular Iranian singer of particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. Susan was also known for her philanthropic acts and was commonly referred to as a "social singer". She rose to fame overnight. Zavaa was her last album and her voice brings back memories of simpler and more innocent times.
