The Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand (Thai: มหาเถรสมาคม; abbreviated SSC) is the governing body of the Buddhist order (Sangha) of Thailand, and is the ultimate authority for all ecclesiastical matters within the Thai Sangha.[1] Its leadership consists of the country's highest ranking monks, who consult the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand with respect to administrative and theological matters.[2] [3][4] The Sangha Supreme Council was established on January 1, 1963, under the Sangha Act of 1962.[2][5]

- Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamangalacharn,92,abbot Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, received the Somdet title in 1995
- Somdet Phra Maha Wirawong,98, abbot of Wat Samphanthawong, received the title of somdet in 2001
- Somdet Phra Wannarat,79 abbot of Wat Bowon Niwet, was granted the Somdet title in 2009
- Somdet Phra Mahamuniwong , 88 abbot of Wat Ratchabophit, bestowed the somdet title in 2009
- Somdet Phra Trirayarnmuni,68,abbot of Wat Debsirindrawas , Become domdet in 2010
- Somdet Phra Buddha Chinnawong, 74. Abbot of Wat Pichaya Yatikaram, was made Somdet in 2011
- Somdet Phra Buddhacharn,73,of Wat Trai Mit Witthayaram, received the Somdet title in 2014
- Somdet Phra Buddha Kosacharn (Prayudh Payutto), Wat Yanavessakawan, received the Somdet title in 2016
