Supreme Court Historical Society
The Supreme Court Historical Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and communicating the history of the U.S. Supreme Court. The Supreme Court Historial Society's headquarters is the Opperman House and can be found at 224 East Capitol Street in Washington, D.C.
History
The Society was founded in 1974 by U.S. Chief Justice Warren E. Burger who acted as its first honorary chairman until his death in 1995.
