Sumeet Vyas is an Indian actor and writer known for his role as Mikesh in the popular web series Permanent Roommates.[1][2] He has acted in some Bollywood films in supporting roles, though he calls himself more of a theatre artist.
Early life
Sumeet Vyas was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan[3] to writer B.M Vyas and Sudha Vyas and spent his initial years there before moving to Mumbai to pursue his passion for acting and writing. He has attended R.D. National colleges, Mumbai.[3][4]
Acting career
He has written the Y-Films webseries "Bang Baaja Baaraat". Vyas made his television debut with a small role in serial Woh huye na hamare.[5] He then starred in TV show Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein as Karthik. He has been actively involved in the theatre since his early days as an actor.[6] He made his Bollywood debut in the movie English Vinglish. Vyas made his web series debut with popular series Permanent Roommates with The Viral Fever. He has acted in movies like Guddu Ki Gun, Parched and Aurangzeb .He also was seen in Kajarya. He also stars in Stories by Rabindranath Tagore. He recently starred in critically acclaimed web series TVF Tripling which he also co-wrote.
He starred in a Web Campaign by BigRock in the year 2017.[7]
Personal life
Vyas is an active supporter of theatre and claims to enjoy working as a theatre artist rather than in Bollywood. He is married to actress Shivani Tanksale.[8]
