Suja Varunee is an Indian film actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam, films.[1][2]

Career

After 8th std she got an offer to do a female lead in a film titled as Plus Two, she agreed and thought it was the right decision, however the film did not take off, So she had to take 3 years break without gaining cinema knowledge. After the long break she got an offer of working under a successful banner for a movie titled as Varnajalam in which she was requested to do a dance number, she agreed the offer and that's her first song. Then she continued to do more number of hero introduction songs in all four languages and subsequently, she played supporting roles in a couple of films, too, Which helped her to get noticed by all from the industry.[3] At some point she made a decision that she not going to do anymore dance numbers, as she wanted to become a full-length actress, which caused some leading production companies and banned her offers. With self-confidence and trust she returned to do character roles in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam films. She also appeared in several advertisements like Aarasan Soap, Saravana Store Elite, Sun gold covering, Nizam Pakku and Government TVC.[4][5]

Breakthrough, 2010–16

After all small character roles, her first break was in a Tamil movie titled as Milaga, in which she was the 2nd female lead, and in the same here she came back with Nagavalli in Telugu, and Gundello Godari. In the year 2011,[6] and In the year 2013 she does a supporting role in movie called Settai which helped her to get back to back movies in Tamil Industry. After Settai she signed a Vaa deal as female lead, which has yet to release, and a movie called Pencil which played a key role in her career. After Pencil, she signed onto a movie called Kidaari which was huge hit.[7] Her upcoming projects are Kuttram 23, Sathru and Anndevathai
