Sudhir Chaudhary is an Indian Journalist. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Hindi news channel Zee News, In April 2017, he was elevated as the Editor-in-Chief of English news channel World is One News, and Business channel Zee Business by Zee Media Corporation Limited. Chaudhary raised to prominence by hosting Daily News and Analysis show aired on Zee News. Chaudhary's tenure as a Chief Editor is known for increasing viewership of his edited news channels. Chaudhary significantly raised the viewership of Global Indian English News channel World is one news (WION).Chaudhary holds a unique achievement of being an Editor-in-Chief of Hindi and English News Channel, Business Channel at once. He is considered to be one of the most efficient Chief editor of News Media in India[4]

Early life & education

Chaudhary did his Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University. Later he did his Diploma in Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.

Career

Sudhir has been working in the television news industry since the 1990s. He joined Zee News in 1993 when it was just started and covered several prominent stories including the Kargil War and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. He was a part of the media that covered the meeting at Islamabad between Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pervez Musharraf after the terrorist attack.[5]
He left Zee News in 2003. He was instrumental in the launch of Sahara Samay, the Hindi news channel of the Sahara group.[6] He also joined India TV for a brief time. He again moved on and joined Live India and served as the Editor-in-chief for the channel.[7] He rejoined Zee News in 2012. He hosts the popular prime time news show, Daily News & Analysis (DNA) on Zee News.

Awards

Chaudhary won a Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism in the "Hindi broadcast" category for 2013. He won the award for his interview with the friend of the Delhi December 16 gang-rape victim.[1][2]
