Baby Helen (known by her stage name Sucharita; born 1958[1]) is a former Bangladeshi film actress.[2] As an actress, she got breakthrough in the film Jadur Bashi (1977).[1][3] She won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress in 1993 for her role in the film Hangor Nodi Grenade.

Career

Sucharita started her acting career as a child artiste in 1969 film Babul.[1] She was cast as the lead actress in the film Shikriti in 1972.[1]

Personal life

In the early 1980s, Sucharita was married to actor Jashim for about a year.[6] In 1989, she married KR Monjur and had three children with him.[6] After 14 years of living separately, the couple got divorced in 2012.[6]

Awards

Beside the Bangladesh National Film Award, Sucharita won Best Actress award from Bangladesh Film Journalists Association in 1981.[7][8]
