Subhasish Mukhopadhyay or Subhasish Mukherjee is an Tollywood actor. He is a well known face in the Tollywood industry. [1] Note: Actor Monu Mukherjee is not the father of Subhasish Mukherjee.

Personal life

Subhasish, Bengali by birth, studied in Scottish Church Collegiate School till completing his higher secondary examination, after which he went to Seth Anandram Jaipuria College to pursue B.Com. After completing his graduation, he worked for a cosmetic company and thereafter in a printing press till he became an actor. He was heavily into theatres too. He got married to Ishita Mukhopadhay in the year 1986.[2]

Acting career

He made his debut in 1987 through Purnendu Patri's film "Choto Bakulpurer Jatri".[2] In the following years, he became a regular actor in Tollywood. His performance in the Bengali film Herbert was well received by the audience and media, globally. [3] Subhasish served as the lead actor in the 2011 Bengali fictional movie Tenida. Some of his other notable works are in the movies Teen Kanya, Meghe Dhaka Tara. He also acted in several Tollywood series too. [4]
