Strichtarn was a Military camouflage pattern developed in 1960, in East Germany. It was used between 1965 and 1990.[1] In East-German troops clothing in the pattern gained the nickname "Ein Strich - Kein Strich" ("one dash - no dash").
Design
Strichtarn is designed for use in all seasons in central Europe.
Usage
Strichtarn was used in central Europe, in several countries:
- Poland
- East Germany National People’s Army
- South West Africa (now Namibia)
- Yugoslavia
- South Africa (the government even reproduced the pattern for its special forces units, where the pattern earned the nickname “rice fleck.”)
- Czechoslovakia
