Stormbringer is a 1965 novel written by Michael Moorcock and featuring the character Elric of Melniboné.[1][2][3]
The novel is a fix-up of four previously published stories from 1963 and 1964:
- Dead God's Homecoming
- Black Sword's Brothers
- Sad Giant's Shield
- Doomed Lord's Passing
Plot
Elric of Melniboné's wife is kidnapped by chaos beings, spurring him into fateful actions and the recovery of Stormbringer, the demon-sword that often dominates his destiny.
Other media
- Dark Horse Comics adapted the tale into comic book form in 1997, as a seven-issue miniseries.
