"Stone Cold" is a song by British rock band Rainbow. This song is different from the hard rock and heavy metal style the band was known for and features a pop rock sound with occasional soft rock elements mixed in to make it a polished ballad.
Description
"Stone Cold" relies on pop rock as its de facto main genre with soft rock elements occasionally mixed which makes the song a power ballad. Some fans from their hard rock and heavy metal days were not too thrilled with this song and Rainbow's pop rock direction in general.
Charts
The song spent twelve weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, peaking at number forty.[1] "Stone Cold" also hit #1 on the Billboard Top Tracks in 1982.[2]

This song was featured in the fictional radio station Emotion 98.3 for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
