"Still Got Time" is a song recorded by British singer and songwriter Zayn featuring Canadian singer and rapper PartyNextDoor.[1][2][3] Zayn announced the single through social media.[4][5] It is the first single from Malik's upcoming second studio album.[6][7][8][9] The song debuted on American radio on 24 March 2017.[10]

Composition

The song, produced by Murda Beatz and Frank Dukes,[11][1] has been described by The Fader as "dancehall-inspired pop music with slow, tropical beat"[12] and by Entertainment.ie as "a smooth, finger-clicking slice of AutoTuned r'n'b."[2]

Critical reception

Writing for Billboard, Taylor Weather said "[Malik's] latest song is a hopeful (and seriously catchy) anthem for the girls who aren't quite as lucky as Hadid." He also noted its "groovy electronic, guitar-plucked beat"[11] while PopCrush staff its "summer-friendly smooth groove".[8]

Music video

The music video was premiered on 21 April 2017 via Malik's Vevo account. It was directed by Calmatic and features Zayn in a house party, smoking cigarettes and getting a tattoo. Many stripper girls are also seen, which made the video being labeled as NSFW. Its recording reportedly took place from 6 pm to 4 am in North London.[13][14]

Controversy

Many websites noted that PartyNextDoor unfollowed Malik on social media as well as deleting all mentions of the track. The song's remix package was also retired within a week of its release on streaming sites YouTube and Spotify. This led to media speculation as to whether the two have had a falling out.[15][16]
