Stickin' Around is a Canadian animated children's television series from Nelvana Limited, which originally aired on YTV in Canada and on ABC in Australia in 1996 and Cartoon Network in 2002. In Latin America, it was broadcast by Nickelodeon under the title Los Grafitos. In United Kingdom it aired on Nickelodeon in 1996 and Pop in 2004. TV Asahi and Disney Channel in Japan. It was also aired in the United States on Fox Kids from 1997 to 1998. It ran on Qubo from March 28, 2016 to September 23, 2016. Then it ran on Qubo again on December 26, 2016 and it's still airing as of now.[2]

The show, which originated as a series of 1-minute vignettes on CBS in 1994,[3] is about two children named Stacy and Bradley, their hand-drawn adventures with their friends and family, and their fantasies. Stacy and Bradley, best friends, encounter many problems they must face as they continue to grow up - if it is with school, bullies, friends, and parents. They always come up with imaginative ideas to eliminate these obstacles, such as becoming a superhero, and putting themselves in a different environment where they have no trouble in defeating their enemies.

According to Nelvana, it uses the "advanced computer graphics of "Boiler Paint," virtually convincing us that kids are creating their own animated series."[4] The show won the Gemini Award for "Best Animated Program or Series" in the spring of 1998, while being nominated once again during the fall of 1998, for the Gemini of the same award.

The show's original run was between 1996 and 1999, with reruns airing prominently on YTV until 2004. The show returned in reruns on YTV from 2006 to 2008. In America it's rating Wen't from TV-Y to TV-PG.

Videocassette releases

Starting December 1996, Cinépix Film Properties started to release the series on videocassette. The volume 1 was released on December 3, 1996. The volume 2 was released on March 2, 1997 and sold more than the volume 1. The volume 3 was released on July 14, 1997 and sold less than its precessors. The last volumes, The Magical Adventure and Very Hip Presentation were both released on January 9, 1998. All videocassettes dropped from print in 1999 when Cinépix Film Properties was changed into Lionsgate Home Entertainment. As a result, the VHS tapes of this show have become extremely rare and hard to find.

Book Series

On September 11, 1996 One month after the show premiered, Scholastic Corporation bought the series out for $2,000 from Nelvana to make a book series based off of the television series of the same name. Writer for the show Frank Young replied about this to the news saying "I don't know how it happened but the Scholastic Corporation really screwed up their crap." Deborah Forte, founder of Scholastic Media was surprised that the animators didn't illustrate the books. She later contacted animator Milo Krass who worked on the show saying "WHY DIDN'T YOU ILLUSTRATE MY BOOK?". Krass was so offended by that call, he call back two weeks after Forte called stating "I will come to illustrate your book tomorrow, Debora. Just hold your horses." 9 books in the series where made but only five have been found and three out the five were released from 2004 to 2008 King of Fools was in production from 1998 to 2004, but wasn't released until June 1, 2008 on scholastic's website. It was later deleted because it had a virus, but made a comeback on January, 31 2013 until it was deleted again, for no reason. Currently some people have the PDF version of the book on their computers. Memories was in production from 1999 to 2000. Tales from Ground Zero, Graduation Time and Stacy's Dying Wish were all in production was in production from 1996 to 2005
