Stephanie is a 2017 American supernatural horror film directed by Akiva Goldsman.[2][3] The film stars Anna Torv, Frank Grillo, Kenneth Choi and Shree Crooks. The film had premiered at the Overlook Film Festival on April 27, 2017.[4]

Summary

Stephanie (Shree Crooks) is a young girl who was abandoned by her parents in their home. With only a toy turtle to talk to and surviving off peanut butter, there is also a dark supernatural force watching over Stephanie. When her mother and father (Anna Torv and Frank Grillo) return, the entity gets angry and spins out of control with Stephanie in the middle.[5]

Production

Deadline announced that Akiva Goldsman signed on to direct the film and that Blumhouse Productions, Gotham Group, Unbroken Pictures and Matt Kaplan with Chapter One Films will produce.[2] Jason Blum with Blumhouse Productions has a deal with Universal so the film will go through them for distribution.[6] The film was written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski.[2]
