Kim Bo-kyung (born October 16, 1987), better known as Stephanie Kim or Stephanie, is an American singer, ballet dancer and musical theatre actress based in South Korea. She was a member of SM Entertainment's girl group The Grace and debuted as a solo artist with the album The New Beginning on October 8, 2012.

Career

2005–10: The Grace

Kim made her debut as member of the South Korean girl group The Grace in 2005. The group officially debuted in April 29, 2005, in China and May 1, 2005, in South Korea. As of 2010, the group breaking Indefinite hiatus.

2011–present: Solo career

As of 2011, Kim was a member of the Los Angeles Ballet.[1][2]

On October 8 of 2012, Stephanie released her first solo single album The New Beginning with the title track "Game" accompanied by a music video. Her single album consists of three tracks, "Game" (title track), "Dance" (a track featuring her labelmate from SM Entertainment, Amber of f(x)) and a remix version of "Game" by DJ Koo. She was rumored to release an independent track in the summer of 2014 under a new company "Mafia Records", but the comeback song - entitled "Prisoner" - was delayed until early August 2015.[3][4] The music video for the follow-up single "Blackout" was released in late September 2015.[5] Stephanie released her first mini-album "Top Secret" with title track "Up, Up" featuring Teen Top's L.joe in October 2015.[6]

On May 2016, Stephanie's contract with SM Entertainment expired. She currently is a solo act under the record label Mafia Records.[7]

Personal life

As of 2010, all activities with The Grace as a whole were halted due to Stephanie sustaining a major back injury and the group breaking Indefinite hiatus.
