Stenoptilia islandicus is a moth of the family Pterophoridae. It is known from Iceland, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and northern Russia.
The wingspan is 17–19 mm. Adults are on wing in June and July.
The larvae feed on the flowers and seeds of Saxifraga species, including Saxifraga oppositifolia and Saxifraga aizoides.
