Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is a right-wing nationalistic political party registered in Sri Lanka. The party is expected to get the blessing of for President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is breaking away from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.[1] The Party got the new name after Our Sri Lanka Freedom Front (Ape Sri Lanka Nidahas Peramuna) requested a name change from the election department. The Party appointed former minister G. L. Peiris as its chairman on November 1, 2016.[2]

On 16 November 2016 former minister Basil Rajapaksa join the party by obtaining the membership.[3]
