Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration

The Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) is a research and training institute on public policy and public administration in Sri Lanka. Operated by the Government of Sri Lanka, SLIDA is located in Colombo.

Established under the SLIDA Act No.9 of 1982, it replaced the Academy of Administrative studies which had been set up in 1966. The institute's main purpose is to train public service officers of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, Sri Lanka Overseas Service and other government agencies. It also carries out post graduate causes including a Master of Public Management.
