Spigot, Inc is an international digital marketing company, which operates a worldwide monetization and distribution platform. Spigot, Inc was founded in Silicon Valley in 2008. The company's headquarters is located in Incline Village, Nevada, with additional corporate offices located across the US and Europe.[2][3]

Among other acquisitions, Spigot, Inc purchased the mobile app store GetJar in 2011.[4] GetJar was one of the earliest players in the app market. As of July 2011, GetJar had driven over 2 billion app downloads via its platform-agnostic smartphone app store, making it the largest marketplace for free mobile apps at that time.[5]

On September 25, 2015, Genimous Investment announced that it was acquiring a 100% interest in Spigot, Inc for US$252 million. Genimous announced that acquiring Spigot, Inc would enable Genimous to grow into an international mobile internet company integrating a portal site with an operating platform.[6][7] On May 27, 2016, Genimous announced the completed acquisition of Spigot, Inc.[8] Spigot, Inc now runs as a wholly owned subsidiary of Genimous.[2]
