Sparta: War of Empires is a freemium MMO strategy video game developed and published by Plarium. The game was released for web browser on in 2014. The game is set in 5th Century B.C Greece, where players build their own towns using the resources gained through fighting other players.
Critical reception
The gameplay in Sparta: War of Empires has received generally positive reviews. Gamespresso editor-in-chief Alana Fearnall wrote that "if the developers can support a large community base over time, Sparta: War of Empires is worth playing",[1] while Giovanni Damiano of Gamerbrain praising it as "engaging, fun and exciting".[2]
