Space Chaser (スペースチェイサー Supēsu Cheisā) is an arcade game released by Taito Corporation in 1979. It runs on an Intel 8080 microprocessor running at 2 MHz and a DAC for audio.[1] The player uses a joystick to move a yellow ship around the maze and collect pellets, all while avoiding the magenta, red and white missiles that chase after it. The game was ported to the PlayStation in 2000 by Success as part of the company's SuperLite 1500 Series. This version was called Space Chaser 2000, and included the original game and a remake with improved graphics and sound.[2] The original version was ported to the PlayStation 2 on January 25, 2007 as part of Taito Memories II Joukan, and later in Taito Legends Power-Up for the PlayStation Portable on May 17, 2007.
