Southwestern Illinois College (Granite City)

Sam Wolf Granite City Campus is one of three campuses of Southwestern Illinois College. It was established in 1983 to serve the academic needs of the northern part of the college district, as well as the work force training needs of local industry.[1]

The Sam Wolf Granite City Campus is located at 4950 Maryville Road, Granite City, Illinois, one mile south of Interstate 270 at the intersection of Maryville Road and Highway 203 on the north side of Granite City. Free Madison County Transit rides are available to the campus.

Southwestern Illinois College programs unique to this campus include the Industrial Technology Center, Automotive Collision Repair Technology, Aviation Maintenance Technology, the Cisco Networking Academy, and Culinary Arts and Food Management.

Also unique to this campus are Honors Program courses and TRIO Student Support Services. The campus Success Center is open daily to all students from 8am to 9pm, with an open computer lab, free tutoring in most of the courses offered at the campus, English and Math specialists, and knowledgeable technical assistance.

Student organizations range from a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of the two-year college, to the Culinary Arts Association. The College also offers a variety of non-credit workshops at the Sam Wolf Granite City Campus.
