Southernside Montessori School,[1] commonly known by its initials SMS, is a private school in the Philippines that offers education from preschool to high school. The campus is located at Katihan st. corner Camella 4 Homes at Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.[2]

History

Founded in 1988 by Nelia Barlis, it was once a small preschool with a small faculty but later expanded to a faculty of 104 teachers and almost 3,000 students. The school lies beside the South Luzon Expressway. The School has undergone several expansions in terms of facilities throughout its years of existence.

Curriculum

SMS follows the Montessori curriculum, especially for Pre-Schoolers. Pre-School has four levels, Junior Casa (JC), Junior Advanced Casa 1 and 2 (JAC 1 and JAC 2) and Advanced Casa (AC), in place of the usual Nursery, Kinder and Preparatory.
