History
Cal Naughton Jr. and Ricky Bobby put this school on the map when they attended with their outstanding driving skills down old 35 and their amazing friendship. The first ever episode of Wayne's World was shot in the school's basement. Bob Ross was the art teacher for 26 years and helped our new art teacher, Kim Barnes, be great at her job. George Clooney once made an appearance at poker night in the basement on Tuesday, April 19th, 1987. From there he got his inspiration for "O' Brother Where Art Thou". Rocky Balboa invented Hidden Valley Ranch along with Mr. Miller in the lab. Speaking of Greg Miller, he is the originator of Mcdonalds beloved sweet tea recipe. He now works as the chemistry teacher at Southeastern. The "Michael Jackson Thrillers" are most known for their performance at the Flint, Michigan Mega Bowl when Jackie Moon invited them to play the half time show. They are also known for the sport of basketball in which they have won 17 of 33 SVC Championships since the beginning of the league. Fifteen were won by Coach Larry Jordan and two by Coach Dan Easterday. They have had 3 gold basketballs (undefeated basketball seasons in the SVC) 1990, 2002, and 2003.<.
Southeastern is also known for its highly ranked FFA program, where they have won numerous state and national awards.
