Route description
SC 692 begins at an intersection with U.S. Route 178 (US 178; N Road). It starts out concurrent with SC 172. This intersection is east-northeast of North, within Orangeburg County. This intersection is just southeast of the Etheredge Millpond. The two highways travel to the north-northeast and split approximately 1,000 feet (300 m) later. SC 692 curves to the north-northwest and crosses over the Little Bull Swamp Creek, Gardner Branch, and Cow Branch before entering Lexington County. SC 692 then curves to the northwest. After crossing over Third Creek, it enters Swansea. It curves to the west-northwest and meets its northern terminus, an intersection with US 321 (South Church Street). Here, the highway continues as West 5th Street.[1]
