Sophy Ridge on Sunday is a Sky News programme fronted by Sophy Ridge airing on Sundays at 10:00 am to 11:00 am (with highlight between 9:30 pm and 10 pm). It follows a similar format to, and goes out against Peston on Sunday.[1]
The show was launched on 8 January, and will run every Sunday morning.[2]
Format
The show launched on 8 January 2017, with Prime Minister Theresa May. The show was launched with new graphics, and came from the Sky News Glass Box Studio (Studio 21).[3][4]
The show features a paper review with two reviewers, and will normally contain two special guests.
Murnaghan
The programme was formerly titled Murnaghan, with main presenter Dermot Murnaghan. From 2017, the show will be fronted by Sophy Ridge, as Murnaghan moved to present Sky News Tonight. The show had around approximately 1 million viewers.
