"Something For The Pain" is a song by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was released in September 1995 as the second single from their 1995 album These Days. It charted at #39 on the top 40 mainstream charts[1] and peaked at #8 on the UK Singles Chart.
It was a regular song played on the These Days Tour but, like many songs on this album, has been played less since. However recently this song surprisingly returned to the setlists and so far it has been a staple on The Circle Tour in 2010, usually in acoustic form. A section of the song features Richie Sambora on lead vocals, it is the only studio recording in the band's catalogue that does.
Music video
The music video for the song was released in 1995 and directed by Marty Collner. It shows a teenager (as he looks) walking into a music store and heading to listen to some sample music. On the screen, it shows the band playing with other cast members singing the song in different scenarios. In the video are actors impersonating Eddie Vedder, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Courtney Love, and Scott Weiland, who also sing along to the song. It ends with the teenager stealing a copy of the album These Days.
